Valentino Pre-Fall 2016 Collection is Explosive

This collection featured 84 extraordinary looks. The designers say they pulled their inspiration from a temporary showroom set up in Andy Warhol’s final Factory and Elio Fiorucci’s wood-paneled office of which remains unchanged from the early 80’s. Fiorucci is an Italian designer who died last year. His inspirations came from everywhere. Chiuri said that “he was local and global and we think that fits with the way we work.”

These looks explore Italian heritage but touch on themes throughout the world. Mainly African, American, and Japanese heritages were explored. All of the looks feature explosive patterns, colors, and crazy details. The mixture of incompatible elements works as the key theme throughout. This Pre-Fall Valentino collection stands out from past collections. It is more bold and daring, revolutionary really.
